The archive of literary historian Ferenc Bodri was acquired by the Kassák Museum in 2020 and 2021 from the collection of Ferenc Kiss. The archive consists of nearly 4 500 items and contains Bodri's professional correspondence as well as manuscripts of his papers and books.
Between 1950 and 1954, Bodri studied at the Faculty of Humanities of Eötvös Loránd University. Between 1957 and 1991 he worked as a grammar school teacher in Győr, Esztergom and Dorog, but in addition to his work he researched and published his results in literary and art history journals. Bodri's field of research was very wide, but he focused primarily on Hungarian avant-garde artists. He achieved outstanding research results on both known (e.g. Lajos Kassák, Endre Bálint or Anna Margit) and forgotten (e.g. Emil Szittya) authors of the Hungarian avant-garde.
This archive is currently being processed, researched and inventoried. It will be available for researchers in the near future.
